Our Story
VFCOA began with a straightforward problem: communities were being asked to make decisions about data centers without information they could trust, while the loudest voices on every side had something to sell. We exist to change that: an independent table where industry, utilities, water and energy providers, public-health experts, and community leaders set the standard for what responsible development actually looks like.
About Us
The Virtual Facilities Coalition of America is a national, member-led organization advancing collaboration across the data infrastructure ecosystem.
VFCOA brings together the companies and partners responsible for developing, powering, building, operating, connecting, and supporting the facilities that make the modern digital economy possible.
About Us
Our History & Goals
Founded through early work in Mississippi, VFCOA is expanding into a national standards-and-convening body, built to operate in the many states that have no data-center standard of their own, and to help write the ones that do.
Our goal is to help communities move beyond reacting to digital infrastructure growth and begin shaping it responsibly.
